For the past few weeks I have been working on a new project. I've been trying to figure out how to convince people that romance is something worth doing for it's own sake. How do I get people to dust off those romance muscles willingly and with anticipation, rather than just to get out of trouble? Being romantic should be a source of pride and excitement, not dread or obligation.
With that goal in mind I decided to take on my new project aptly titled "Making Romance Cool"! In order to show people (ok let's just throw it out there...men) that romance is awesome, I will be interviewing cool Vancouver guys about their own best romantic moments. My hope is that these awesome men talking about how romantic they are (or how much they enjoy their women being romantic!) will inspire other guys, as well as give them some ideas. I know there's a lot of guys out there that want to impress but just don't have the time or inspiration (at least...that's what I tell myself).
My first great Vancouver interviewee is one of the owners of the city's coolest (and most delicious) cafes, Cartems Donuterie. Jordan Cash came up with the idea for the iconic donut shop in a dream! Crazy right?! Last week he met with me and was very open about his girlfriend and their relationship. His interview confirmed for me what I've always thought myself... that it's the small things that count!
Check it out below (and please forgive the sound quality, I'm still working out the kinks!).
Well there you have it folks! I hope you enjoyed my first attempt at Making Romance Cool! I'm really looking forward to continuing this project, and I hope you are excited to see the results! If you have a great romantic story I'd love to hear about it in the comments! Please share this video if you enjoyed it and subscribe to my newsletter to find out when future videos are posted!
I already have my next awesome Vancouver guy lined up! It's....well... you'll have to watch the next video to find out! As always you can connect with me over social media on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.. Also exciting... this new mission of mine has it's own hashtag!! (what?? I know!). It's #RomanceIsCool! Please feel free to use it and search it!
